Army Major, 5 Others Hurt In Blast

Srinagar: An Army Major and five civilians were injured on Tuesday when terrorists exploded an IED, targeting an Army patrol, at Khanpora near Uri bus stand in north Kashmir. A Hizbul Mujahideen spokesperson called local news agencies and claimed responsibility for the blast. Police said ultras exploded an IED fitted on the roadside around 1.45 pm when an Army patrol was on the move at Khanpora, injuring Maj Amit and five civilians.
