Hurriyat Leaders May Visit China

New Delhi: The moderate faction of the Hurriyat Conference today said it was contemplating visiting China to seek Beijing's help in resolution of Kashmir issue. 'We are working on that (a visit to China). We cannot underestimate that regional players, especially China, have a great interest,' Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said, adding that the recent visit of President Hu Jintao to India and Pakistan was encouraging. Noting that Both India and pakistan had friendly relations with Beijing, he said China wants to come into the SAARC fold and by 2020, AARC region is going to be a free trade zone. There are strong indicators that India, Pakistan and China can go a long way in resolving the Kashmir issue. He said Hurriyat had received invitations from ireland and Norway to study various peace processes.
