Powerful IED Seized In Poonch

Jammu: Security forces today recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing four kg, planted by the militants at Dhundak, about 25 meters from main road in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district.The IED had been concealed in a steel container, official sources said, adding timely detection of the IED has averted a major tragedy. The IED was safely deduced. Security forces later conducted searches in the area but the militants responsible for planting the IED remained untraced. Security forces recovered one Chinese pistol with one magazine, one antenna, eight Pika rounds and 31 AK rounds from Fali forests in Dharamsal area of Rajouri district.
