Srinagar: A senior Muslim League leader today joined the moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference (HC) after parting ways with hardline leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Hakeem Abdul Rasheed joined the faction alongwith his supporters at a simple function held at the Amalgam headquarters at Rajbagh here in the presence of several leaders, including chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, a HC spokesman said. Rasheed had resigned from the Geelani-led faction earlier this year.
