One-year performance of AJk Govt disappointing: Khawaja Atif Bashir

Muzaffarabad: The Central spokesman of All Parties Conference established in connection with ‘Save the Capital’ and the Secretary Information and Broadcasting PML Capital City Khawaja Atif Bashir said that one year performance of current Government is disappointing and unsatisfactory . Work on not a single project could be started which the Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed announced during one year. He said this while addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad. Khawaja Atif Bashir said that the Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan in his first speech announced to hold local bodies elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir . The Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan promised to provide Sui Gas from Muzaffarabad to Sri Nagar. He also announced to lay down railway tracks from Murree to Muzaffarabad and then to Sri Nagar. Sardar Attique Ahmed announced to provide electricity to Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He also announced to construct the road from Taobat to Bhimbar. Khawaja Atif said that he announced several projects but did not allocate a single penny for these projects, which clearly shows that the current Government is betraying and deceiving the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir . He told the media persons that in the current budget there was an increase of Rs. 500 million budget for development, in which there was also an increase in 3.5 billion for non-development projects. They have started the Green Kashmir program, on which they are taking a lot of money . He also said that the current Government has not provided any penny for the development of earthquake-affected areas. Number of times, the Prime Minister Azad announced to write off all the loans of the traders of earthquake-affected areas, but the funds regarding this were not allocated in the current Budget. The traders of earthquake- affected areas have not yet been provided any relief . The Government is establishing Development Committees and Rural Councils just to waste money, which was given by International Community for the rehabilitation development of earthquake-affected areas. He said that corruption and fraud is continuing in all the departments like on transfers of officers and on the provision of jobs. The Government was not able to built any building in earthquake-affected areas. All foreign donors have constructed the buildings in earthquake-affected areas.
