Convention backs Musharrafs strategy on Kashmir

Islamabad: The speakers at the International Convention on Kashmir held in Geneva supported the four-point strategy proposed by President Pervez Musharraf for the solution to the Kashmir dispute. The participants of the International Convention on Kashmir held under the aegis of International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM), stressed on India to stop human rights abuses in held Kashmir, the KMS reported. Prominent among participants were Pakistans permanent envoy at the United Nations Masood Khan, Kashmir Centre Brussels Executive Director Barrister Abdul Majeed Tarurboo, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders Bilal Ghani Lone, Farooq Siddiqui, Dr ZU Khan, Nazir Ahmad Ronga, Pergahrton, Mariana Babar and Masroor Abass Ansari. APHC Azad Kashmir chapter convenor Syed Yousaf Naseem also attended the convention. The speaker said lasting peace in South Asia is only possible through a durable solution of the Kashmir issue.
