Two Army Jawans Killed In Anti-militancy Operations In J-K

Srinagar: Two army jawans were killed and two others injured in separate anti- militancy operations in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today A jawan was killed in exchange of fire between militants and security forces during an infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district last night, the sources said. Three infiltrators were shot dead during the operation, they said. In another gunbattle in Zainapora area of Shopian district last evening, three soldiers were injured, one of them critically, who succumbed at a hospital this morning, the sources said. The operation was continuing till last reports came in. A Lashkar-e-Toiba militant, identified as Abu Furkan, was killed in the operation, they said.
