British MPS Briefed On Upcoming Kashmir Conference

London: British Parliamentarians in their briefing on the upcoming peace conference on Kashmir have expressed concerns on the continuous human rights violations in the held Kashmir. Prof. Nazir Ahmed Shawl, Executive Director, Justice Foundation Kashmir Centre London, during his briefing to MP Paul Rowan from Rochdale, Eastern England, on the forth coming international peace conference titled 'Sixty years of Kashmir dispute - a way forward,' also updated him on the situation prevailing in the Indian occupied Kashmir. They both also reviewed the October 11 meeting with FCO Minister Lord Malloch Brown, and other members of the All Parties Parliamentary group. Prof. Shawl thanked Paul Rowan for his efforts to highlight the plight of suffering people of Jammu and Kashmir. The latest situation as it exists in the Indian occupied Kashmir was also discussed. Paul Rowan felt it imperative that any forward movement in Kashmir is directly related to improvement in human right situation. He shared the concern of Prof Shawl about the human right violations continuously taking place in spite of Indo-Pakistan composite dialogue.
