New Delhi: Police have identified a couple of leading shopkeepers in New Delhi who were instrumental in arranging hawala money to Kashmir separatist leaders. Identity of the shopkeepers was reportedly established during interrogation of a hard-liner Hurriyat Conference leader G M Bhat and his son Moheen Bhat besides three other hawala operators. Official sources said a police team has left for New Delhi along with Bhats to identify shopkeepers and apprehend them with the co- operation of New Delhi police. Sources said G M Bhat revealed that he didnít know identity of the shopkeepers but was aware of their location. It may be recalled that a hawala operator Jamali Khan along with his wife and an associate were arrested at Udhampur few days back when they were smuggling a hawala consignment of about Rs 47 lakh from New Delhi to Srinagar in a CNG kit. Jamali had disclosed that consignment had been delivered to him at Bhatís residence at Okhla, New Delhi and was to be delivered at his Hyderpora, Srinagar house. After the disclosures G M Bhat and his son Moheen Bhat were arrested by police.
