Havildar injured, hide-outs busted

Srinagar: Security forces today busted a hide-out of the militants at Potha in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district and recovered four UBGL grenades, one kg black colour explosive, two detonators, one buoynet, four LPG cylinders and one RPG round. The hide-out measuring 7’x5' had been erected by the militants under boulders in Potha area. It was destroyed by the troops on spot. However, no arrests have been made so far. Another hide-out of the militants was busted at Samrote, Kandi in Rajouri district. From the hide-out, security forces seized five hand grenades, 70 AK rounds, one detonator, one antenna of wireless set and one torch. An Army Havildar Tarsem Singh sustained a self inflicted gun shot injury in Pallanwalla area of Akhnoor sector today. He has been admitted in Military Hospital, Akhnoor. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the incident, sources said.
