APHC Leaders Welcomes President Musharraf's Re-election

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Saturday welcomed President Pervez Musharraf's re-election and termed it a substantive development and an important step towards the stability of Pakistan. This was stated by by Senior APHC leaders, Professor Abdul Ghani Bhatt, Bilal Ghani Lone, Maulana Abbas Ansari while talking to mediamen in Srinagar, KMS reported. Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi and Zaffar Akbar Butt thanked President Musharraf for his laudable role in putting his efforts towards bringing about a lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute by raising the matter at different international forums. They said President Musharraf's four-point formula has charted a new course to resolve the conflict on Kashmir. They hoped President Musharraf would continue his efforts for resolving the longstanding dispute, as per aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party President, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Jammu and Kashmir People's League Chairman, Shaikh Abdul Aziz hailed Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's oathtaking for another term, describing the event as an important step towards democracy in the country. They said a stable and democratic Pakistan is the guarantee for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute. They hailed President Musharraf's efforts for resolving the Kashmir dispute by raising the matter at different international forums and hoped that President Musharraf will continue his sincere efforts for resolution of Kashmir.
