Elections No Answer To Kashmir Dispute: Shah8 March 2008 Kashmir Media Service
Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that elections in the past failed to resolve the Kashmir dispute and termed the exercise futile for bringing peace to South Asia. Addressing media men in Srinagar, the APHC leader said that Indian troops were committing blatant human rights violations in the occupied territory. Shah also stated that the Indian government was imposing undue restrictions on the people to carry religious processions and other religious obligations in the occupied valley.
