Faisalabad: Muttahida Jihad Council Chairman and Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Syed Salahuddin on Friday said that the Jihad had entered final stage in the Indian held Kashmir, which would soon be freed. Talking to newsmen after the Friday prayers at the Noorani Jamia Mosque at the Peoples Colony here on Friday, he said terrorist activities being carried out at the behest of foreign forces in Pakistan were detrimental to the sovereignty of the country. He said the 56 Muslim countries would be responsible if the Kashmir dispute was not resolved according to the UN resolutions as they had neither provided moral nor material support to the freedom fighters. He said President Pervez Musharrafs weak stand on the Kashmir issue had benefited India and perpetuated its occupation in the region. He said the policy adopted by President Pervez Musharraf for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was in the interest of the Kashmiris. He said the coalition government should improve law and order in the country and take steps to eliminate terrorism through dialogue in Balochistan, Waziristan and other Northern Areas. He said the use of force to tackle terrorism in these areas would further deteriorate the situation and create hurdles in bringing normalcy in those areas. To a question regarding peace pact between the Pakistan government and the local Taliban, he said his party welcomed the pact. He said peace in Pakistan was vital to strengthen the freedom fighters in the IHK. The Mujahideen will continue Jihad for the liberation of Kashmir. The Muslim countries should cooperate with freedom fighters, he concluded.
