Jammu: A sitting Member Parliament of Congress from Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency accused the state Assembly Speaker and party MLA from Khore, Tara Chand of his involvement in the infamous Srinagar sex scandal, widening fissures within the party in Jammu and Kashmir before the Assembly Elections. Congress MP Madan Lal Sharma, while addressing a public gathering at Dori Dagher in Khore yesterday, accused Tara Chand of being involved in the sex scandal. “Speaker Tara Chand and former state Congress Chief Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed were involved in the Srinagar sex scandal but they got away,” Sharma reportedly said, assuring the gathering that the party leadership would take action against those who were found involved in the sex scandal. “Unko to Pappu Yadav ki tarah lamba kaarawas milna chahiye,” they should get long imprisonment like Pappu Yadav, the MP is reported to have maintained. However, the Congress has not given any statement with regard to the allegations levelled by Mr Sharma against Mr Tara Chand.
