Two Killed As Army Foils Infiltration Bid

Srinagar: Army foiled yet another infiltration bid and killed two terrorists along the Line of Control at Keran in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday. This was the second infiltration bid across the LoC near Keran in the last 10 days. 'Troops of 8-JKLI, guarding the border in Keran sector, confronted two terrorists after they crossed over to this side and asked them to surrender. But the intruders opened fire and in the retaliatory action the duo was killed,' army spokesperson, Lt Col A K Mathur, said, adding, 'The slain terrorists are believed to be the members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit.' The operation was on till the filling of this report. Lt Col Mathur said infiltrators were gunned down last week in the same sector.
