Islamabad: Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (PaK) and Chairman of J&K People's Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned the transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) terming it as “a big conspiracy to settle foreigners and change demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir.” In a statement mailed to Etalaat, Rehmani said, “such steps of India in the disputed region of Kashmir were against the state citizenship law and international laws which recognized its disputed status as a case in the U.N Security Council.” He added that the decision to transfer the forest land “casted doubts on India's peace process claims and added fuel to fire in the region.” He said, “In the given conditions Kashmiris would be losers, if their leaders compelled Pakistan for a hasty solution. Haste is always waste and fraught with dangers.” “Peoples own strength, determination and firm faith was the best guarantee of their survival and success. So, it is better to have no solution and no roadmap for the time being than a bad solution or a dark roadmap, as the germs of destruction breed on wrong treatments and longtime tranquilizer.”
