Congress Hails ‘Azad’s Decision’

Srinagar: The Pradesh Congress Committee congratulates the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and his cabinet colleagues for finding a just and balanced solution to the question of diversion of land for provision of facilities for harmonious and secure conducts of yatra to Amarnath shrine, read a resolution passed in a meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee here on Wednesday. The meeting presided over by Muhammad Muzaffar Parray, senior vice-president adopted a resolution in which the decision to cancel the order transferring the land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) was discussed threadbare. “The Pradesh Congress Committee expresses its deep sense of satisfaction on the decision of cabinet to ensure arrangements for conduct of the yatra to SASB in future to the department of tourism. The Pradesh Congress Committee appeals to the people of the state to maintain age-old tradition of communal harmony and help the state government to serve the best interests of the people of the state,” said the resolution adopted at the end of the meeting. The leaders who were present during the meeting included Ghulam Rasool Kar, Haji Abdul Rashid, K. K Amla, G. N Moonga and Abdul Majid Padder.
