PDP Hindered Progress In J&K, Says Azad

Jammu: Breaking his silence over his former coalition partner for the first time since he was forced to resign as J&K CM, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad today launched a direct attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said the party played the role of Opposition during the past two and a half years in the coalition government. The PDP, he added, was worst than that of opposition which also sabotaged the development process in J&K. The former CM was addressing a large public meeting at Banihal, Ramsu and Ramban. Curfew lifted Curfew was today lifted in Jammu and adjoining areas which witnessed violence during a bandh called by a Hindu outfit to protest suicide by a man over the Amarnath land row.
