Pakistan Proposes To Host Meeting To Operationalize Cross LoC Intra-Kashmir Trade

Islamabad: Pakistan on Thursday proposed to India to host a meeting in Islamabad to operationalize, as soon as possible, the cross LoC intra-Kashmir trade. The proposal was made by Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir to Indian High Commissioner Satyabrata Pal in a meeting held in the Foreign Office today. Pakistanís proposal is in pursuit of the agreement-in-principle already reached at Foreign Secretary level talks on July 21, 2008 held in New Delhi, said a foreign office statement issued here. Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir also conveyed the readiness of AJK Chamber of Commerce to sent a delegation to Srinagar at the earliest possible.
