Pakistan For Peaceful Resolution Of Kashmir Issue: Wajid

London: Pakistan desire a peaceful solution to the Kashmir problem and the country will continue to provide its moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of State of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, Wajid Shamsul Hasan expressed these views during his meeting with Riaz Mehmood, the newly appointed Advisor to the Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, and member Legislative Assembly at the High Commission last night. The High Commissioner expressed grave concern over the colossal violation of human rights and suppression of the Kashmiri people by the Indian security forces in the Indian held Kashmir. He reiterated that Pakistan wants amicable solution to the Kashmir problem which should also address the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, adding that the country will continue support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in a just struggle for their inalienable right to self determination as pledged to them by the United Nations. The UK-based Advisor recalled that the British Kashmiris remembered and appreciated the effective role of the High Commissioner during his previous stint, in highlighting the Kashmir cause. The advisor thanked the High Commissioner and the Government of Pakistan for its continued support on the Kashmir issue and the Kashmiris just struggle for self determination.
