: Regretting the killing of a youth in a clash between the police and protesters during a shutdown called by the separatists in Nowhatta, the security force today said it had used maximum restraint while tackling the violent crowd. 'We regret the killing of a youth at Nowhatta yesterday despite maximum restraint while tackling the unruly mob,' a police spokesman said. 'Some of the protesters hurled petrol bombs towards the police station and the police personnel deployed had to act to disperse the violent mob,' the spokesman said.
