Srinagar: Former Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah on Sunday alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Bhartiya Janata Party, BJP have entered into an ‘unholy alliance’ as according to Abdullah was evident from the Legislative council elections result. In a statement issued here, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah accused Peoples Democratic Party of compromising with its stand. 'PDP has always deceived the people of Jammu and Kashmir right from the day it came into existence and it mortgaged its conscious to the BJP ideology and joined hands with them during council elections,' Abdullah said. He alleged that PDP has always compromised the interests of the people of the state for petty political and personal gains. “The party has got exposed before the people of the state,” Abdullah added. Abdullah said it is ironical that the PDP which is making hue and cry about the draconian laws has been instrumental in the enactment of these laws in a bid to curb the aspirations of the people of the state. Interestingly, the ruling NC-Congress alliance had won nine out of eleven legislative council seats for which elections were held on Saturday.
