24 March 2009

Jammu: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said militants withdrawn from their launching pads in POK post the Mumbai terror strikes are being brought back in a renewed bid for infiltration through the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir. ' After the 26-11 ( Mumbai attacks) militants were taken back from their launching pads (in POK). But now they are being brought back for infiltration', Abdullah told reporters here at the party headquarters, where senior PDP leader and contesting candidate, Gulam Qadir Pardasi joined the ruling National Conference. Though terming it as a cause for concern, the Chief Minister said all measures are being taken to ensure that no infiltration takes place along the border. ' Security is a major challange. We have ensured that no guard is lowered with the security set-up intact along the border and inside', he said.
