Srinagar: After receiving three rebel leaders back in the party fold, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday said time was not far when South Kashmir would again become a National Conference bastion. “Bastions don’t remain bastions for a single party. Earlier, South Kashmir was our bastion but Peoples Democratic Party won majority of seats there in the recent elections. “However time is not far when entire South Kashmir will be known as NC bastion,” Omar said after receiving three NC leaders from South Kashmir, Ghulam Qadir Tak, Sheikh Muhammad Rafi and Ghulam Nabi Bhat, who had left the party for not being provided with the mandates in the recently concluded assembly elections. Three new faces also landed in the NC camp, which include Rafiq Khan of Devsar, who contested recently held assembly elections and secured 9000 votes. Besides, Khan Muhammad Ayoub Dar and Imran Nabi Dar also joined the party. Abdul Gani Bhat, a well-known figure in Bijbehara also joined NC.
