Srinagar: Chairman of the hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Monday termed the decision of People's Conference leader Sajjad Lone to contest the Lok Sabha polls as 'non-issue' and called for a boycott of the elections. 'We are making a fervent appeal to the people to boycott the elections,' Geelani said addressing a press conference at his Hyderpora residence in Srinagar. On a question about the decision of People's Conference chairman Sajjad Gani Lone to contest the elections, he dismissed it as a 'non-issue'. 'Those fighting the elections are the faces of the same coin. They are raising the slogan of resolution of Kashmir issue to deceive the masses,' he said. Lone on Saturday announced that his party would contest the elections. He, however, has said the decision is the outcome of 'change in the strategy rather than ideology'.
