Srinagar: Reacting to the recent statement of Hurriyat Conference (M) Acting-Chairman Moulvi Abbas Ansari, Muslim League Chairman Masarat Alam Tuesday said that everyone including UJC have sacrificed for the cause and they are entitled to hold the collar of any separatist leader. Lashing out at those who abstained from poll boycott, Alam said, “Why are these people keeping mum? Are they tired of freedom struggle? Such leaders should put off the veil of Hurriyat and join pro-Indian parties or rest in their comfortable houses.” Appealing people to boycott parliamentary elections, he said, “Participation in elections is betrayal with the sacrifices of our martyrs.” The detained leader said those women who lost chastity would question the people in future. “They will question us: did they sacrifice to see Kashmiri people bending their knees before Indian hegemony,” he added. Reiterating his pledge to continue with the freedom struggle, Alam said: “Unless India will vacate from the territory of Jammu Kashmir the freedom struggle will continue.”
