New Delhi: Amidst reports of continuous infiltration bids being made by Pak-based terrorists through the LoC into Jammu and Kashmir, the Centre on Friday said it was alive to the fact that agencies across the border were involved in facilitating infiltration and it was taking all possible steps to foil such attempts. 'We are aware of the training being given in the camps across the border to facilitate infiltration. We are alert at the LoC. Army and BSF are alert. All efforts are being taken to foil the infiltration bids,' home secretary Madhukar Gupta told reporters after flagging off the ITBP mountaineering and skiing expedition to Mt Kamet and Mt Abi Gamin here. He said: 'We have been saying very clearly that agencies across the border are involved in this... This is also widely recognised by the larger international community. We are taking the entire issue of infiltration seriously. We are vigilant and the vigil needs to be continuous.' The government has already admitted that nearly 50 militants had infiltrated into the state in March. Security agencies believe that the infiltration figure has shot up this time as the terrorists have been trying to sneak in without even waiting for the snow in the treacherous terrain to melt like earlier times.
