Fazal proposes regional moot on Kashmir

Islamabad: The Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, called on the OIC Secretary General, Ekmaluddin Ehsanoglo said a message received here from Jeddah. He was accompanied by Consul General of Pakistan, Zaigham Uddin Azam. Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that Kashmir issue had gained importance in view of the situation prevailing in the region and should be taken up on the OIC platform.Maulana Fazalur Rehman proposed that a conference of the regional countries, including China, Iran and Afghanistan to sort out the issue should be convened on Kashmir issue. The Secretary General said that issue of Kashmir was high on their agenda like other problems facing the Ummah and they were working on it to address it. Oglo said he was the first Secretary General who appointed a special representative on Kashmir to find out an amicable solution, who had twice visited AJK in the recent past.This news was published in print paper.
