New Delhi: The Pune chapter of Panun Kashmir , the nation-wide organisation of Kashmiri Pandits, will be hosting a cultural programme here on Sunday. The mass awareness programme on the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits will be held at Shaniwarwada from 6 pm onwards. The events include a panel discussion on the issue of terrorism in the Kashmir Valley and the request of the displaced community of Kashmiri Pandits to reinstate Kashmir as a Union territory in order to relocate themselves to their homeland. 'The panel discussion will emphasise the unparalleled support given by Maharashtra to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits,' said Rahul Kaul, spokesperson for Panun Kashmir's Pune chapter, at a press conference on Friday. The programme will also include songs and dances of both Kashmir and Maharashtra, presented by members of Panun Kashmir. 'For us, Panun Kashmir is the only solution for our community to get back to the Valley,' said Agnishekhar, convenor of Panun Kashmir. 'We want the Internally Displaced Peoples' Act, passed by the United Nations and to which India was a signatory, to be applicable to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits. This will help us get international aid,' said Agnishekhar.
