Encounter Breaks Out Between Ultras And Security Forces

Srinagar: A gunbattle broke out on Thursday between militants and the security forces in a forest area in Kupwara district of North Kashmir. The gunbattle started when the security forces launched a search operation at Wanidoorusa Kangroo Nad forest area, 100 kms from here following specific information about the presence of militants there, a police spokesman said. There was no immediate report of any casualty, the spokesman said, adding that reinforcements have been rushed to the area and further details are awaited.
