Leh: To boost tourism in Ladakh, the Jammu and Kashmir government will ask the Centre to ease the “inner-line permit” procedure to provide visitors an added attraction of travelling to various areas in the Himalayan region. The State government has already raised the issue of holding the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from the Ladakh region and has asked the Centre to take up the matter with Chinese authorities. “I will ask the Centre to ease the travel restrictions and dilute the inner-line permit required for travelling to various areas of the Ladakh region,” Chief Minister Omar Abdullah told PTI here.
