ISLAMABAD: There is no ambiguity or change in Pakistan’s principled position on Kashmir, the Foreign Office said on Friday. “Pakistan seeks a just settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions,” FO spokesman Abdul Basit said in response to media reports. “The essence of our position is that a durable settlement of the dispute must conform to the legitimate rights and aspirations of the people of the region,” he said. India’s latest dossier has been forwarded to the relevant authorities and is being examined, Abdul Basit said. 'The Foreign Office is, therefore, not in a position to give any substantive comment on the dossier', he said. The spokesman said this in response to a question regarding specific details contained in the Indian dossier, which was handed over to Pakistan on August 1.
