HELD SRINAGAR: Indian troops shot dead four militants on the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday, officials said. Alert troops killed a militant infiltrator on Monday, thus, preventing another attempt by the militants to cross the LoC, Indian Army spokesman JS Brar said. In the southern district of Reasi on Monday, Indian security forces shot dead another three militants during a forest gun battle, a police spokesman said. The police attributed the surge in activity to the Indian national holiday on August 15.
