Indian HC Visits Line Of Control

Varmul: The Indian high commissioner to Pakistan, Sharat Sabarwal, visited Salamabad and Kaman Post on the Line of Control near Uri in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday, sources told Greater Kashmir. Sabarwal, who arrived in the Valley on August 30 on a 4-day visit, inspected the Trade Facilitation Centre at Salamabad for cross-LoC trade. He interacted with officials about facilities available to traders and passenger en-route. “The high commissioner was apprised about bottlenecks in cross-LoC trade and the problems faced by traders,” they added. Top officials of the district, including deputy commissioner Varmul, Lateef-uz-Zaman Deva, and deputy inspector general of police, north Kashmir, A Q Manhas, accompanied the high commissioner.
