New Delhi: In a startling interview to a local television channel, senior Hurriyat leader Bilal Lone on Monday (December 14) made a shocking revelation that many separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have been on Pakistanís pay roll and have taken money from both sides. Lone alleged that most seperatists leaders have at some point taken money from both sides. ďI havenít taken money from both sides. I've taken it only from one side. For the last one and a half years money from this channel has also stopped. Thank God for it. We don't betray the people who financially help us,Ē Lone said in the interview. The All-Parties Hurriyat Conference Chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has still not spoken out against the allegations made by Bilal Lone in a irect manner. Various leaders, cutting across even main stream parties have refused to speak. Party sources said senior hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani has chosen not to react immediately. Even Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah refused to comment on the allegations. Meanwhile senior Hurriyat Leader Moulvi Abbas Ansari rubbished Bilal Lone's claims and termed the allegation as absolutely false. Reacting on Lone's claims Ansari said, 'I have no clue what Bilal has said. It is completely false. I don't ever remember of Hurriyat taking money from both sides India and Pakistan. Hurriyat raises its own funds. I am sure it is no one from the Hurriyat. Bilal's allegation is completely false.'
