J&K CM Welcomes Manmohan-Gilani Talk28 April 2010
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today welcomed the proposed meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yusuf Raza Gilani saying it will be a step further in resuming composite dialouge between the two countries. Omar said the meeting will be a step further in resuming composite dialogue which is the 'only viable means' to address all the vexed issues, including those pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir. 'Resolution of issues between India and Pakistan has direct relation to the peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir in particular and in the sub-continent in general' he said. Both the Prime Ministers are likely to meet in Thimpu, Bhutan tomorrow on the sidelines of SAARC Summit. Omar expressed the hope that the composite dialogue between the two countries will be restored soon to work out amicable solution to the vexed issues.
