Lahore: JAMAAT-E-ISLAMI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch slammed Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s statement absolving India of river water theft and said Qureshi was pleading India’s case instead of his own country’s. In a statement here before his departure for Karachi on Saturday, he said that Qureshi’s statement was highly pleasing for New Delhi as it had weakened Pakistan’ case at international level. Liaquat Baloch said India had already constructed 62 dams over Pakistani rivers and was planning to build more. At the same time, it was holding talks with the Afghanistan government to build three dams over river Kabul. The Foreign Minister should not plead India’s case as the nation fully knew its designs to convert this country into a desert. He said surprisingly, the Foreign minister was overjoyed on resumption of talks with India while even a lay man in this country knew that New Delhi had never been serious in talks on basic issues. India simply wanted to discuss terrorism and even on this issue, it was putting the blame on Pakistan. Neither Pakistan nor India would discuss Hindu terrorist organizations or the state terrorism by Indian occupation forces in Held Kashmir. He said that had Shah Mahmood Qureshi any sympathy for the Kashmiri Muslims at his heart, he would have started a campaign exposing India’s real face and fascist tactics before the world community.
