Jammu: Pakistan troops fired at Indian posts in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday for the second time in three days. 'Pakistani troops fired unprovoked with small arms, automatics and mortars on Indian posts along Line of Control in Bhimber Gali Sector of Mendhar in Poonch district at 5:15 am,' official spokesman in Jammu said. 'Our own troops retaliated with similar caliber weapons,' he said adding, 'No damage of property or casualty of own troops have been reported so far.' The spokesman said intermittent firing was still on till last reports came in. The earlier ceasefire violation by Pakistan in this area was reported on April 25. Pakistan also violated the truce in the same area on April 16 when an infiltration cum ceasefire bid was foiled by the Army. Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMO) of both India and Pakistan met on April 25 over the issue of ceasefire violation where the Pakistani DGMO had alleged it was actually Indian troops that had violated the ceasefire and sought a flag meeting between sector commanders to resolve the issue.
