Infiltration Bid Foiled On IB

Jammu: Security forces claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid from across the International Border in Kathua district. Official reports said that Border Security Force (BSF) troopers detected suspicious movement in Bobiya forward Border out Post (BoP) Hira Nagar sector of the international border in Kathua district around midnight Monday. Alert troops of BSF challenged them and opened fire following which they returned to the Pakistani side. 'Heavy exchange of fire from both sides took place, but the alert BSF personnel foiled the attempts of the militants to infiltrate into our side,' sources claimed, adding that during search conducted in the area this morning, blood stains were found in the area. The infiltration bid took place in the 'most-vulnerable' via Tarnah nallah area in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. BSF has put border guards along IB on high alert to foil the infiltrations. The army guards the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir while the BSF troopers man the international border in the three districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua of Jammu region.
