Kargil's Influential Religious Organizations End Differences9 April 2016
Kargil: Ending the differences of decades the two influential religious organizations of Kargil, Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) and Islamia School Kargil (ISK) Saturday signed an agreement. A high-level meeting was held in Iran Culture House, Delhi which was facilitated by the representative of Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Aqa e Mehdavi pur and the representative of Almustafa International University in Delhi Aqae Raza Saleh. Later the agreement was welcomed by the envoy of the Islamic Republic in Delhi. In the meeting five members from each side took part and discussed various issues including the differences between the organizations. Sources said in the meeting it has been decided that soon three members from each side of the organization will frame an advisory committee which will resolve all the disputes. Meanwhile the news was welcomed by the people of Kargil who shared the moments of rejoice. Spokesperson of Islamia School Kargil, Aga Syed Kazim Sabri on behalf of the president welcomed the initiative and said Islamia School will sincerely follow the agreement to resolve the disputes between the organizations. Vice Chairman Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Maulana Abass Karrari said, 'We think interests of the people of Kargil lie on unity. It is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Kargil to get united because many issues of our district are still pending due to our disunity.' Talking to Rising Kashmir from Jammu, former Youth Wing Islamia School president and Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali welcomed the initiative and said, 'I appreciate the efforts made by the representative of the supreme leader that they felt the need of unity in Kargil.' He further added that we have lost enough due to differences between our religious groups now the time has come to see a 'Green Kargil'. 'Even I personally had many differences with IKMT but for the sake of the peoples' unity I am ready to forget everything,' Haji Anayat added. Member Legislative Assembly and founder member of IKMT Asgar Karbalai said, 'I fully support this initiative and I am very happy with it.' He further added that the differences must be resolved slowly.
