Srinagar: A train journey through the mountains is something that any traveller would love to experience. And if that particular journey happens to be in the picturesque state of Jammu and Kashmir, there isn't anything more that he can ask for. Almost eight years after a train was introduced in this land of the mountains, Northern Railways is set to launch four new DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) trains in the valley. The trains will ply on the Banihal to Baramulla and Baramulla to Budgam routes respectively. The limited stop DEMU trains are likely to bring about smiles on plenty of faces as travelling between these places will become easier for the local residents of the state. Besides, it opens up an opportunity for travellers to explore the state in a way they have never done before. Trust us, we are already feeling excited and badly want to go on a trip just to board these trains. We suggest you make your plans too. The weather is just perfect for a hill station holiday anyway. While the trains will be launched by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu from Delhi's Rail Bhawan through video conferencing, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti will flag off the trains from Anantnag and will also undertake the train journey up to Baramulla. Wi-Fi services in three stations: This comes across another pleasant travellers for all Indian train travellers. At the same time when Kashmir's new trains will be introduced, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will also launch free Wi-Fi services at Vijayawada, Kacheguda and Raipur railway stations.
