Cops Went To 'Solve Land Dispute', Came Under Suspected Militant Attack

Srinagar: In a suspected militant attack, four cops are reportedly got injured in South Kashmir on Sunday evening. Suspected militants attacked cops at Bonigam, Qazigund in south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Four police personnel have received injuries and were referred to PHC Qazigund, from where they have been shifted to 92 army base hospital Srinagar. One cop is said to be critical after receiving bullet in neck. The injured cops have been identified as Constable Manzoor Ahmad, Mohammad Yaqoob, Mohammad Altaf and Manzoor. The vehicle in the cops were aboard was fired upon by the unidentified gun men creating panic in the area. The police party was in the area to solve a land dispute in the village. Intense cordon and search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
