Civilian Killed In Counter-insurgency Operation In Kulgam, 2 Terrorists Hiding

Srinagar: A civilian was killed in a counter-insurgency operation by the security forces in Chancer village of south Kashmir's Kulgam late Friday. Many gunshots were heard on Friday night when the security forces cordoned the Chancer village of the Kulgam district. Assadullah Kumar, a government employee working with the Fisheries Department of Jammu and Kashmir, died to the gunshots. The CRPF, police and the Army launched a joint counter-insurgency operation after getting information that two militants were hiding at a house in Chancer village. The two militants are still believed to be hiding in the area. More details are awaited. This incident comes merely three days after terrorists attacked the Army camp in Jammu's Nagrota. Two officers, and three jawans were martyred in the attack while all the three terrorists were killed.
