Srinagar: After the developments in Legislative Assembly over Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's Article 370 remarks, the winter capital was abuzz with political activities on Tuesday. 'Both the coalition partners PDP and BJP held separate meetings to discuss the developments in Legislative Assembly today, where the Speaker Kavinder Gupta initially ordered expunging of Chief Minister's remarks on Article 370 only to retract it later,' sources said. They said both the ruling parties discussed the developments in their respective meetings. The opposition has taken strong exception to Speaker's expunging CM Mehbooba's remarks on Article 370. Replying to the discussion on demand of grants for the departments under her charge in Assembly yesterday, Mehbooba had said some elements in India think that Kashmir dispute will be resolved if Article 370 is scrapped. 'Those opposing the Article 370 are anti-nationals,' she had said. Sources said in the evening some BJP ministers including Deputy Chief Minister met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at her official residence, here. 'The DyCM and BJP ministers had detailed meeting with CM during which today's developments in Assembly figured prominently,' they said. According to sources, the PDP ministers also visited CM's residence for deliberations with her. After the adjournment of the Legislative Assembly for the day, CM visited the party headquarters at Gandhi Nagar and interacted with several deputations which had come from different parts of the province. The deputationists brought several issues pertaining to their areas into her notice and sought their redressal. Mehbooba assured the deputations that the demands put forth by them would be looked into and whatever required would be done. The arty functionaries including Senior Vice President, S. Rangeel Singh; General Secretary, Muhammad Sartaj Madni; President, Women's wing, Vijaya Dogra were present on the occasion.
