Indian Army Kills 13 Terrorists In Kashmir: Pakistan Resorts To Heavy Shelling, Firing On LOC

New Delhi: Pakistan Army on Sunday resorted to heavy shelling and firing at Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, defence officials told IANS on Sunday. According to the agency report, Pakistani troopers started the ceasefire violation at 8.20 p.m. on Saturday at three places in the Krishna Ghati sector of the state. 'They first initiated small arms and automatic gunfire, but later used 82 mm mortars. Our posts effectively retaliated,' the officials added. According to ANI, Pakistani rangers started firing on forward BSF troops in Ramgarh (Samba) at 10 am on Sunday. The firing continued for 45min and the BSF retaliated. There was no loss of lives. The Indian Army on Saturday said that it foiled several infiltration bid by terrorists from Pakistani side of the LoC and killed as many as 13 of them within 96 hours on the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement, Indian Army's Northern Command said, 'The sinister design of Pakistan Army to push in multiple groups of armed intruders across the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir continue to be defeated by pro-active operations being carried out on the LoC.'
