New Delhi: Asserting that 'Kashmir is India and India is Kashmir', Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that 'no third party is needed to settle any internal matters.' He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies of 'burning' the strife-torn state, reported ANI. 'It is being said that Kashmir should be discussed with China, discussed with Pakistan. It is my opinion that this is our internal matter, our internal business, no one else has or need have anything to do with it,' Rahul said. The Congress leader blamed the BJP and the NDA for the ongoing strife in Kashmir. 'I've been saying for a while now that Narendra Modi ji's and the NDA's policies have burned Jammu and Kashmir,' said Rahul. Earlier this month, Rahul called Modi 'weak' for accepting the US referring to Kashmir as 'Indian-administered Kashmir' and for not bringing up the contentious H-1B visa issue. In its statement on June 26, designating Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin a 'global terrorist', the US referred to the northern state as 'Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir'. The Centre defended the US's use of the term saying it only affirmed India's position that Salahuddin is involved in 'cross-border' terrorism.
