Police Arrest Mischief Monger In Central Kashmir

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday arrested a mischief monger, who was allegedly involved in spreading rumours about a local youth joining militancy in central district of Badgam, a police spokesman said here. He said, police station Beerwah received a complaint that photograph of a minor boy namely Shahnawaz Rashid Wani son of Abdul Rashid Wani resident of Check Wanihama Beerwa, about 15-years-old, has joined militant ranks of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), a banned militant outfit is being circulated on social media. Accordingly a case FIR number 178-2017 under section 505 RPC, 66 IT Act was registered and investigation to ascertain the facts was started. During the course of investigation it came to light that, the boy is a student of 9th class of Government High School Chewdara and is busy with his studies. He has not joined any banned militant outfit.
