Srinagar: Strongly condemning the killing of two youths Javaid Ahmad Bhat and Suhail Javed Lone in Shopian by forces, Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik called for a complete statewide shutdown on Sunday. Expressing grief and sorrow over the killings, the JRL in a statement said: 'Army, CRPF and Police are hell bent to liquidate our youth under a plan, irrespective of them being armed or unarmed. 'Few days back one youth Shakir Ahmad Mir was also killed and two teenage girls were shot in their head forcing them to battle for their life at SKIMS Soura.' The leaders, while expressing sympathy with the bereaved families, said, 'The daily bloodbath in every nook and corner of our land is only because of the collaborators of these killers.' 'These paid agents of the oppressor will shortly shout throat aching slogans in favour of victims and shed crocodile tears just to befool the people, but in reality they are the persons whose hands are drenched in this innocent blood. 'Had they been just humans, they would have long ago preferred to side with the oppressed and played an active and practical role to stop this bloodshed. But their greed has made them so coward that they neither have the courage to do so nor have the authority to question these uniformed killers,' the JRL said.
