Srinagar: Former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Friday said if New Delhi resorts to horse trading of lawmakers in Jammu Kashmir then more Salahuddins and Yasin Maliks would be born. 'There can't be any horse trading without New Delhi's intervention,' the Peoples Democratic Party President said talking to reporters after laying wreaths on the graves of July 13 Martyrs on the occasion of Martyrs Day at the Martyr's Graveyard at Naqshband Sahab in Srinagar downtown. 'But this will have disastrous results.' She said every party had internal issues, which could be sorted out cordially, but if New Delhi indulges in curtailing the rights of people like they did in 1987, then the situation could become disastrous. 'My party is united,' Mehbooba said. She said if New Delhi tries to crush or break PDP in the manner they crushed the Muslim United Front (MUF), then it would be like an attack on the democratic right to vote of Kashmiris. 'No breakup or horse trading is possible without New Delhi's tacit support,' the PDP President said. At the Martyrs Graveyard, Mehbooba was flanked by MLC Khurshid Alam; MLA Sonwar Muhammad Ashraf Mir; MLA Batmaloo Noor Muhammad; MLA Wachi Aijaz Mir and nominated MLA Anjum Fazili. The top brass of the party was conspicuous with its absence.
