Srinagar: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Saturday expressed concern over the dreadful dip being witnessed in tourist arrival in Kashmir- stating that the BJP led government has deliberately created fear psychosis amongst people due to which the tourism in Kashmir is facing a worst ever decline. Addressing various delegations here, Kadfeen said the way in which Kashmir's tourism is facing unprecedented losses is in actual a reflection of BJP's consistent efforts in presenting Kashmir as the most dangerous place and putting its tourism industry in dire straits. He added that the BJP led government had left no stone unturned during all these years to make Jammu and Kashmir a hub of chaos and uncertainty with traders, students and private sector finding themselves at the receiving end of the BJP's mismanagement. Kadfeen said that with the arrival of spring it was expected that the tourism would get revived in the otherwise picturesque Valley and the central government will play its vital role in safeguarding the livelihood of those who are directly dependent on tourism arrival. Kadfeen added that from hotel owners to tourist guide and people associated with arts and crafts are living a miserable life due to decline in tourist arrival and government's inaction to rectify the wrongs. He urged the governor administration to take immediate measures and present Kashmir as a promising and the most safe tourism destination in the country so that the most important sector in Jammu and Kashmir wouldn't die a silent death.
